White Rock | South Surrey average price hits 800K

The average price of a house in White Rock / South Surrey cracked the $800, 000 barrier in Dec. 2007. This is reflective of a strong year right across the Fraser Valley.

The 2007 Fraser Valley real estate market finished with residential sales on the MLS surpassing the 2006 volume, average home prices showing double-digit increases and townhomes and condos proving more and more popular.

Townhomes and apartments made up 44 per cent of the total residential sales in 2007, a 3 per cent increase compared to 2006.  The average price of a single-family detached home in Fraser Valley increased by 11.4 per cent over the last year. The average price of a townhome increased by 12.7 percent and apartment prices increased by 14.9 per cent.

Fraser Valley prices are forecast to increase a further 8 per cent, on average, in 2008.
